BELIEFS
 We believe as follows …

The One True God
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa. 43:10, 11; Matt. 28:19).

The Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. (John 3:16; Matt. 1:18-20; Mark 15:46; Luke 24:6-7, 51; Mark 16:19; John 1:1, 14).

The Promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit
All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the bestowing of the gifts and their uses in the work of the body of Christ
(Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Cor. 12:1-31).
This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth (Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16).

The Scriptures Inspired
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to men, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason
(2 Tim. 3:15-17; 1 Pet. 1:23-25; Heb. 4:12).

Man’s Fall and Redemption

Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.” Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God
(Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:17-19; Rom. 5:12-21).

The Eternal Afterlife

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal happiness of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost. (I Thess. 4:16-18; Matt. 25:46; John 3:36; Acts 13:48; Romans 6:23; Jude v. 7; II Thess. 1:8-9).

The Salvation of Man

Conditions of Salvation:
The Grace of God, which brings salvation by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, has appeared to all men - through the preaching of repentance toward God and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Believers are saved by faith in the Lord Jesus, washed and regenerated by the Holy Spirit into new birth and justified by grace. All believers are heirs of God according to the hope of eternal life
(Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Rom. 10:13; Luke 24:47).

Evidences of Salvation:
We are a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and as such have a desire to live as Christ’s new creation – recognizing that we are dead to sin (Romans 6:6) and alive to the Holy Spirit working within us (i.e., Spirit Alive Church). The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is the believer’s desire to live a life of holiness separated from the world and set apart unto God
(1 Thess. 4:7, 2 Tim.1:9; Romans 4:2; Eph. 2:1-6).

Sanctification

We believe in sanctification through the Word of God made alive in us by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life (Romans 7:15-25). Sanctification (being set apart to God) is the will of God for all believers. By the power of the Holy Spirit:
• Our spirit was sanctified at redemption.
• We are being sanctified continually in our soul (mind, will and emotions) as long as we live in this world.
• Our body will be sanctified/glorified at the coming of Jesus.
By the power of the Holy Spirit we desire to live according to the command “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” We earnestly pursue walking in obedience to God’s Word
(Heb. 12:14; 1 Pet. 1:15-16; 1 Thess. 5:23-24; 1 John 2:6; II Thess. 2:13-14; I Cor. 6:11; I Thess. 4:1-4; Acts 20:32; I Cor. 15:42-54).

The Church
The church is comprised of the called out ones (born-again believers) who make up the holy Body of Christ – one body made up of many members within the body (Eph. 2:19-22). Each member is an integral part of the church, and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
(Eph. 5:23-32; Rev. 3:5; Matt. 18:20; 1 Cor. 12:16-27).

Ministry
The ministry of the church is a 5-fold ministry ordained by the Holy Spirit to equip the saints to carry out the work of the ministry, which is to take the Gospel of the Kingdom of God into the entire world and to edify the Body of Christ. “And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and some teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.”
(Eph. 4:11-13; Romans 12:4-8; I Cor. 12:12-27).

Divine Healing
We believe in divine healing and deliverance as provided for through Jesus’ shed blood and broken body. Healing is included in redemption and is the privilege of all believers
(Isa. 53:4-5; Matt. 8:16-17; Mark 16:18; Matt. 10:7-8; I Peter 2:21-24).

The Blessed Hope
The angels said, “This same Jesus shall so come in like manner.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, the dead in Christ shall rise to meet Him, then those believers who are physically still alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
(Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; Luke 21:25-28).

The New Heavens and New Earth
We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for a new heaven and a new earth where we will eternally dwell with Christ (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1). “Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world”
(Matt 25:34).

Ordinances

Baptism in Water
Baptism in water is a direct command of our Lord and is for believers only. The ordinance is an outward and visible symbol of an inward and invisible work. Water baptism symbolizes the Christian’s identification with Christ’s death, burial and resurrection
(Matt 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:11-12; Acts 8:36-39; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:36-38).

The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
We partake of the Lord’s Supper to proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. The bread is the Lord’s broken body and is for our healing. The cup is the new covenant in His blood which provides us with forgiveness, deliverance and oneness with God
(1 Corinthians 11:23-31; John 6:48 - 58; Luke 22:19-20).
